Intensive Therapeutic Care That Feels Right For You
A Supportive Step Forward
Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) is here to offer calm, consistent support when things feel overwhelming.
It gives you space to settle, start healing, and figure out what comes next - like stepping into a foster home or something more long-term.
Healing Doesn't Happen Overnight
The aim of ITC is to give you time. Time to feel safe, build trust, and begin to imagine what a stable future might look like.
This kind of support helps reduce the time young people spend in intense residential settings. It also creates clearer paths to permanency - where you can feel more secure and in control.
What These Options Actually Look Like
ITTC (Intensive Therapeutic Transitional Care):
This is a short stay - around 13 weeks - in a calm home where support workers help figure out your best next step.
It’s the first stop toward a better fit.
ITCH (Intensive Therapeutic Care Homes):
Think of this as a steadier space with a small group of other young people and a regular, in-house team.
It’s supportive and structured, with care that meets you where you're at.
THBC (Therapeutic Home-Based Care):
This one’s closer to day-to-day life.
A carer lives in the home and helps with daily routines, so it feels more like home as you step down from more intensive care.
TSOP (Therapeutic Sibling Option Placement):
Siblings stick together here.
It keeps family groups together, even when care needs are complex.
TSIL (Therapeutic Supportive Independent Living):
If you’re 16 or 17 and thinking about living on your own, this is a great stepping stone.
It gives you time and support to build life skills.

Support That Helps You Feel Like Yourself Again
Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) can make a difference and feel right for you.
You deserve to feel comfortable, safe, and understood in your therapeutic care. It’s not just about managing daily life - it’s about enjoying it.
Imagine having support that genuinely helps you feel calmer, happier, and more at ease.
Support That Grows With You
Life changes, and so should your support. Some days, creative therapies like music or art might feel best.
Other times, you may prefer a quiet chat with a support worker or some time on your own.
ITC adapts to fit your needs, always at your pace, never rushed.
Be in a Space That Feels Right
The right environment can change everything. Imagine stepping into a space that instantly feels calming. Maybe it’s soft lighting instead of bright fluorescents.
Perhaps it’s a quiet corner with a comfy chair, perfect for unwinding. Whatever makes you feel at ease, therapeutic care helps make it happen.
Learn Movements That Feel Good
Moving your body should feel natural and enjoyable. Whether it’s gentle stretching in a peaceful yoga session or floating in a warm hydrotherapy pool, movement is never about pushing too hard.
It’s about finding what feels right for you, with no pressure and no rigid rules.

Find The Right Balance of Structure and Flexibility
Too much structure can feel overwhelming. Too little can feel unsettling.
Therapeutic care helps you find the right balance - enough routine for comfort, but plenty of flexibility to keep things feeling natural and enjoyable.
You get the security of support without losing your independence.
Support That Works for Your Family Too
Intensive Therapeutic Care isn’t just about you - it can also support your family if you’d like it to.
Whether that means giving your loved ones time to recharge or involving them in your care in a way that feels right to you, the choice is always yours.
It’s about making sure you feel supported in a way that makes sense for you.
Support Workers Who Actually Care
Good support workers don’t just provide care - they take the time to understand you. Every support worker has at least a Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services.
But what really makes a difference is their kindness, patience, and the way they show up for you every day.
Familiar Faces That Feel Like Home
There’s nothing better than seeing familiar, friendly faces each day - people who know your routine, remember what you like, and help you feel at ease.
That consistency brings comfort, making each day feel more enjoyable and predictable.
